Alpine Sports Activities

The Directors and Members of Hus-Ski Lodge are committed to encouraging all forms of alpine sports in the NSW Snowy Mountain region, from skiing and boarding in winter to bushwalking and angling in summer. We will keep members updated with sporting activities, competitions and alpine race opportunities via links from this web page.

Perisher Blue Masters
Perisher’s Winter Sports Club (WSC) conducts a variety of season long programs specially designed for enthusiasts to develop and progress their snow riding skills. The program caters for kids three years and over to adults who are interested in recreational skiing through to racing and boarding competitions. Information on the program can be found at

NSW Snow Sports
NSW Snow Sports is the Peak Body and State Sporting Organisation for Snowsports in NSW. Their website provides information on membership as well as events calendars and race results, particularly for the annual Interschools Championships competition. Details can be found at

Perisher Cup
The Perisher Cup was initiated by the NSW Ski Association in the early 1950’s and is now conducted by Perisher Blue, with assistance from Cooma Ski Club. The event is a team activity with four participants, each of whom competes in three events: Cross Country 4x2 km relay, Giant Slalom, and the best of three jumps. SnowSports ACT
SnowSports ACT is the Peak Body for snow sports in the ACT. SnowSports ACT administers the oldest running snow sports competition in the southern hemisphere, the Balmain Cup, which is an interclub race between lodges in Guthega and Perisher. The organisation also runs the annual ACT Citizens Race which is fun and friendly ski and snowboard race for all, whether it is your first or 100th race!

Interschools Snowsports Races
Compete for your school in snow sports! The NSW & ACT Interschools Snowsports Races are for school students in NSW and the ACT.  Skiers and Snowboarders can compete for their school as part of team or an individual in any of our 7 snow sports discipline events. School Students from all ability levels are encouraged to enter, with an emphasis on fun and participation in the initial regional championships. As the competitions move into the State and then the National event, the level of competition and the degree of difficulty increases.
